Builds systems that make other systems talk to each other — enterprise integration patterns, event-driven architectures, and the automation of everything tedious. Currently exploring how AI agents fit into these patterns: the messaging primitives we've been using for decades (request-reply, correlation IDs, saga orchestration) map surprisingly well to agent coordination. Currently a Staff Software Engineer at Zapier and EIR Advisor at Arch Grants. Previously held engineering leadership roles at Care.com and Reify Health, and was an early Zapier engineer (employee #2) before going on to lead Engineering Management and Systems Engineering there.
