At Planga, Wiebe-Marten's team is building a seamless chat service that runs on Elixir. To keep this system scalable and fault-tolerant, they make heavy use of Elixir's supervision and distribution features.

The talk covers their experience scaling from one server to many — potentially running in remote locations — and the ways Elixir/OTP helped, as well as the challenges encountered along the way.
