Co-author of "RabbitMQ in Action" — the first book on the topic — and a former core developer of RabbitMQ at Pivotal, where he reimplemented the persistence layer, built extensions like Scheduled Messaging and Message Sharding, and ported the RabbitMQ tutorials to many programming languages. Has given over 50 tech talks at conferences around the world.
Currently a Principal Cloud Advocate at Microsoft. Earlier roles include Senior Software Engineer at Apple working on a distributed ML platform, Lead Architect at Migros, and Senior Software Engineer at Fauna. Also a long-running lecturer at Fachhochschule Salzburg, teaching messaging, queueing systems, and scalability.
